Worth noting -- in a real exam situation you'll be played the audio twice. So a useful tip is to listen for the keywords in the questions to see which are mentioned in the actual questions. Although this isn't a useful tactic at higher levels with more logically-tricky questions, the questions at this level are fairly straightforward. So in a worst case scenario just answer the word you think you heard in the question.

Will the speakers on the actual test speak this quickly? Some of the other practice tests I've tried have slower speakers.

@eurolinguiste,They have slowed down the HSK level 1 pretty considerably. These materials were put together for us by someone at Hanban. That said, if you can handle this, you can definitely handle the test.

O my goodness. I am supposed to take the HSK 2 tomorrow. I think I way overestimated my ability. So frustrated at this point.
