This week on KTV Wednesday, we are pleased to present Froth by Levi. And no, we're not talking about the clothing company based in San Francisco. Born Li Wen in 1982, Levi is one of the new generation of post-eighties singers making a name for himself in Beijing. He remains almost unheard of abroad, and is not well known outside the capital either.

The song Froth was released in 2005 on Levi's debut album. Since recording it, the singer has earned a reputation for combining fairly mainstream rock sensibilities with a highly manicured hairdo. He is also somewhat unique in writing his own material and shunning mandopop, so our office crew cuts him a lot of slack on the bangs. We suggest you do too. And if you can't see the video for technical reasons or because you're located outside of China, you can check out this version hosted on Youtube.

Echo,

You're breaking my heart here--just like the girls at the Silk St. Market. No transcript, no text-only pdf, no character writing sheets. Oh the humanity! Say it ain't so.

@coljoe,

Looks like we hit an edge case in our PDF generation code. We've just fixed it and regenerated and reuploaded the transcripts. Thanks for the tip.

The girls at the Silk Market break my heart everytime I go. They always start off with the "best friend" price and I think we're good to go. Then someone else comes along and haggles them down to half of it.

It breaks my heart every time.

Man.. Really, I love this site.

I'm suggesting add "share by twitter, facebook,(well you could always use free proxies/VPNs to bypass china ban) or chinese online community"..

I just consider myself lucky to stumble upon this site
