"I want to make a lesson about the toilet/shower combo," Anthony said. "Did you know you can take a shower when you're on the toilet here?"Just as China offers many new experiences to the hardened traveler, so does the HSK offer new challenges to the experienced language learner. In this exam we are proud to present 15 questions the answers to which hinge on slight differences in meaning between otherwise similar words. These questions are typical of the Intermediate HSK. So good luck, and be sure to cover the toilet paper.

I did much worse on this than I was expecting, getting slaughtered on questions #3, #5, #7, #10, #13 and #14. Of these, I find #10 the most puzzling. What is going on?

@barrister,
hehe, all the others will probably have the same problem as you, don't worry.
This test is about vocabulary. and vocabulary is always becoming harder than 语法, when you have learned something of a language.
tell us the problems you have in details, then we can give you the answer.

@barrister,
about # 10,
不易is wrong, you may have noticed that.

These "choose between almost identical words" questions are the ones which I keep on getting wrong - can anyone recommend a book that focuses on explaining the subtle differences between similar words?
