Learning Chinese? Today we are proud to present our first listening exercise for students preparing to take Level 1 on the new HSK exam. In these fifteen HSK questions you will hear a statement and then be asked a question based on it. Your challenge is to pick the most suitable answer from the three options provided. Good luck!

Worth noting -- in a real exam situation you'll be played the audio twice. So a useful tip is to listen for the keywords in the questions to see which are mentioned in the actual questions. Although this isn't a useful tactic at higher levels with more logically-tricky questions, the questions at this level are fairly straightforward. So in a worst case scenario just answer the word you think you heard in the question.
