How to select a good mandarin school or teacher in Shanghai learn mandarin

Different tutor will charge you various prices, and every tutor may claim he/she is a good one.

The most commonly problems are what the reasonable price for mandarin tutoring is and how to select a good teacher to learn mandrain with reasonable price?

Compared with teaching quality, price seems insignificant. If you are lucky enough to find a responsible teacher with rich experience,

150rmb/h is worthwhile. On the contrary, if you are taught by a less experienced teacher, even 50rmb/h is wasteful. No matter you are a

beginner or an intermediate learner, a good teacher matters a lot and could guide you in a most effective route. Just imagine travelling to a new city,

tourists accompanied by good tourist guides will finish the trip quickly and visit every desiable place while tourists with poor guides or no guide might

just turn around and around at the same place. Eventually, those who have no good guides will find the trip meaningless and wasteful.The toughest problem

might be how to find a good tutor as every tutor may claim that he/she is professional and experienced. Try to request for a one-hour demo lesson and make

a comparison, keeping it in your heart that experienced tutors may have systematic teaching methods and may arouse your study interests in the shortest time. Just ask your own feelings what kind of teachers are good ones and suitable for you after demo lesson.What you should do now is to contact Mandaringarden, free demo lesson could be offered according to your specific needs.

Somewhat on-topic and at least they aren't doing link-bait trolling. Personally, I think getting a less expensive personal tutor almost always beats getting a more expensive group class. Funny how in most places it works the other way around.

That said, what do you guys think, should we can it?

@Trevelyan,

Nah, don't can it, it's perfect to help us learn a 很有中国特色中式英语的 sales pitch.

I plan to study it and mimic it, it's especially helpful with

chinese word order, for example, "Different tutor will charge you various prices, and every tutor may claim he/she is a good one," becomes, “不同的家教会收你不同的学费,而且每个家教可能会声称自己是好的”, or something like that.

Anway, it's helpful and entertaining.

Of course you could just blank out the name of their organization, 呵呵!
