I'm really intrigued by contemporary art in China but don't know that much about it. I know a few famous artists like liu bolin and zhang huan but still don't really know that much about what their art has to say about china and Chinese culture. Could maybe be an idea for a future podcast?

This would be great -I am researching contemporary art and learning Chinese. While I still need an interpreter at this stage I would love some more art-related vocabulary for dangdai yishu!

I agree, it will be hard to fit in 太监 into this sort of lesson but I have full faith in Popup Chinese that it can be done... Hold得住!

Yeah, actually I think 跑跑中文 has convinced me that adding 太监 improves everything :) In fact, that is my idea to stop government corruption. They can change the law so that if you want to advance in politics you have to become a 太监. That will make the number of 二奶 drop precipitously but people will still want the 金饭碗. 太监能干的事多着呢! That will solve the 干丨 problem and also it will make listening to speeches much more interesting (a lot more maniacal laughter).
