Brad's heart was a wreck. The previous evening he had met a girl he could only describe as perfect. And she had seemed interested between their drinks and dancing. Yet when the party drew to a close, she simply smiled when he asked for a telephone number or email address and told him to look her up. But as best he could tell from a cursory search of the Internet, she was entirely off the grid as well. What was a man to do? Hunt through the city of Beijing door-by-door in search of a single girl?

Thanks, it was such a familiar sounding song and I think I may have heard it when I was in China before so was curious to hear it all. Not normally my sort of music, but I think this a great song! Thanks for your reply. Great lessons by the way! Not totally new to studying Chinese, but have enjoyed the few lessons I have listened to so far!

Got here via the China History Podcast and Sinica podcast. Thought I would give it a try and this stuff is addictive!

Once you've popped, you can't stop.. ;)

Nice work, guys. You make it sound so engaging by building your conversations in lively, everyday situations.

But where is the "Like" button to promote the site?

@yanisjosephine,

Thanks for checking us out. We removed the sharing buttons during the recent site upgrade, and have just re-added them (top right-hand side of the menu). Just click on "share".

We have to use an intermediary for this stuff: can't link directly to Facebook's like buttons because the domain is blocked, so javascript won't load for anyone in China and the entire site will time out.

Thanks for helping to spread word.

Best,
