You may now add color to annotated texts by specifying the color of the text desired by putting the CSS color definition directly into the notes field of any popup. An example of this would be:

color:#9c1010;

It is possible to add links to annotated texts as well. Just copy the complete URL (including the 'http://' section into the notes field:

http://google.com

The system will automatically colorize or linkify the text after the entire page has loaded. Please note that the colors/links will only appear when the lesson is viewed - they will not appear on the lesson editing pages. This is still an experimental feature - suggestions and feedback are very welcome.

We've just added support for embedding colors and links in annotated texts. This is somewhat experimental and we hope it will be useful.

Lesson creation is not enabled by default, but is available on request to those interested in producing their own lesson materials. If you're interested in gaining access to lesson creation functionality send us a note at service@popupchinese.com.

Cool. I played around a little this morning with the text tab on Tonal Cousins #3 . Thanks!

Only seems to be working with the first line...I've been wondering about something else: Am I required to enter everything (simp, trad, pinyin etc) for each entry in the "vocabulary" tab manually, or is there a way to automate this? I'm making quizzes with common characters that should already be in the popup dictionary, so it seems a waste of time to re-enter all this information, but I can't figure out how to get the system to populate these fields.

I usually add them to a sentence on the text page, annotate/edit the text that way, then click-to-add the definitions on the vocab page. Perhaps we can add something to the vocab page to avoid this step. It's reasonably fast this way and easy enough to delete the sentence when done though.

I'll take a look and see if there's an issue with the color displaying on subsequent lines. Would help if you could send a link to the page that's giving you trouble too.

Excellent. Didn't realize what the "toggle text" button did until now. That's a really easy interface to use now that I know what I'm doing. Good work Dave!

The colors on the second line of hanzi don't seem to show up for me. Ideas?
