You may remember Richie Ren from his previous appearance on KTV Wednesday. Although best known for his upbeat covers of songs by A Niu, Richie Ren also covers darker ground, especially with "The Horizon", a piece that explores what it profit a man to gain the world, but lose his only love.We think this is worth listening to just for the music, but if you're an elementary or intermediate student, this is also a great song for whipping your tongue into shape. Try singing it while keeping in beat. The constant rhythm will force you onto track, while the tongue-twisting repetition will make spoken Chinese seem easy by comparison. (Final Note: readers in North America may get better performance with this version hosted on Youtube.)

Nice video. I like the way Richie transitions from cowboy on the plains to a Native American to an...Australian surfer? Works with the music, but it's a bit confusing if you stop to actually watch the visuals. I still have no idea what the war paint is doing.
