You'd be forgiven for thinking this movie was about those blue elves running all over your television on Sunday morning. But you wouldn't be too far off. Our selection for this week is an extended meditation on what it means to be human. That be said, we do learn a bit about the Smurfs this week and find out why the name Gargamel makes a lot more sense in Chinese than English.

It's quite a useful word - 精灵. On par with 金刚. I don't remember how I first learned it, but run into it more often that one would expect given what it means.

我不是特别明白“nerd”的意思,你能再进一步帮我解释一下吗?中文里好像没有一个特别准确地可以翻译“nerd”的词,你可以说“书呆子”,我不是特别确定。
