I just got a Xiaomi phone, but it looks like all of the popup mobile tools are only for iphone. Is that right? Are there any downloadable Android tools?

I also have an android and am wondering if there is a direct interface for popup Chinese. If not yet, is there anything on the way and when can we expect it?

No immediate plans for Android or iPhone apps intended to replace the website. Right now our mobile work is basically revising the writing app to hook it up to the website and offer a better way for people to review things on-the-go.

We do need to get an audio player up that works without flash. And -- that said -- we do have an API up-and-running so if anyone wants to put something together and share it we'd be happy to support it as best we can.

I'd also be interested in the API info.

Yes. Sorry for not getting to this sooner everyone, but I'll put together some quick documentation on the site so that everyone can start playing around if they'd like.

Hi,

I discovered your website only a few days ago (this is my first post on the forum). Congratulations for your incredible work ! This looks like the best Chinese learning resource I have found so far, and I expect to make progress at a fast pace with this website.

In addition to being a Chinese learner, I also happen to be a bit geeky. Although I cannot promise anything, I would be very glad to support you by giving help on the audio player issue. If you could give me more details via email, I would be able to tell you whether I can be helpful or not (what your precise needs are, how you would like to integrate the player into the app, what the API looks like, etc).

Great, thanks !

Being a non-native English speaker, using the popup chinese podcast even allows me to refine my English vocabulary :)

Concerning the mobile app, feel free to spread the word to anyone in your team dealing with this kind of things. I hope I'm not too late, though, since the post is from July 16.

PS : I just changed my username.

Yes, what is the update about this mobile app? Planning to go to China this October and I don't know if it's reasonable to buy Xiami phones. I've checked http://startbuyinginchina.com/ for other options where to buy phones but I have decided yet. Can you help?

This doesn't answer your question, but where are you going to be living in China in October? I am living in Guangzhou now, but have lived before in Beijing.
