Hi guys. Sorry for the slow response. Well, I have to say David won the bet.:) It doesn't include North America. 拉美 is short for 拉丁美洲(Latin America). When people say 亚非拉美，it usually refers to the National Liberation Movement in these areas against western colonists. You may hear some people say 亚非拉 as well. It's the same. :)
