Since yesterday there's been a bug- either the questions aren't displaying, or 1 is, then after answering the next one doesn't. After refreshing the page, it takes me back to the start of the test, but the same thing happens over and over. I also noticed that as a free account user I no longer have access to transcripts for lessons. Has this changed? Or is this another bug?Any one else with the same problem (especially with the test- I use them to select the next class I do, so would really like them to work!)
Free accounts are not entitled to transcripts. If you were able to access them before, you just got lucky!

OK- that's solved, now just need to figure out the test prob! Thanks!
Kate,Can you let me know what browser and OS you are using when you run into this problem? I've just tested with your account and cannot replicate the problem on Firefox. Clearing your cache/cookies might help also solve the problem, since it is possible that your browser has cached an older version of some javascript and the upgrade is causing problems. If you can let me know what is causing the problem for you, we can try to replicate and see if we can trigger it as well.

I'm using Safari. Last night I emptied my cache, but no change. The second time I tried, it worked, I did a trial run through the progress test with a mix of right and wrong answers (for once deliberate not my chinese!) and was directed to a lesson. I then repeated the progress test, only to be back to nothing working- this time again, after the first question. To be more precise, the background of the site loads fine, just not the questions and answers, and when I reload the page (if this is one of the times I get to a second question) it seems to wipe out the first question I answered (so no green and red bars across the top.) I only discovered this site a few days ago (sure you can tell that from my a/c!) but there was no problem with the test initially at all, and was one of the things I found really useful in directing me to material I'd find helpful. Thanks!

Since the last comment, there has been nothing showing up at all with progress tests- is this something that is a problem with mac users? Thank you so much for looking into this!
hi kate.seagrave,Sorry for the long delay in getting you an answer on this. I've checked in the database and what seems to be happening is that the system doesn't have any more questions to give you at your level and so it is only pulling up questions periodically when it believes you need to review them. We're continuing to expand the test but there is only limited content at the lower levels now. We will be adding more questions in time, but right now our focus is on getting explanations for all of the questions into the system, which should be finished within the week.In the meantime, I've bumped up your difficulty setting on the test, so it should begin giving you more difficult questions if you want to continue working through materials that way. Another option (recommended!) is to just randomly go through content at the lesson levels you find suitable. Feel free to skip materials you find too easy and/or too difficult. The important grammar points and vocab repeats naturally over time, and the key thing for making progress is really the exposure to the language. Sorry again for the lag in getting back to you,--david
