Would you like to start an auspicious spiritual journey to experience Buddhist culture just at the beginning of the year 2012? From January 1st, 2012 to January 3rd , 2012, a Dharma Flower Sutra dharma assembly will be held at Beijing Longquan Monastery which is situated at the foot of the Phoenix Ridge (Fenghuangling) in Haidian District. Meanwhile, multi-lingual venues will be set up for all foreign language enthusiasts to chant the king of sutras—The Wonderful Dharma Lotus Flower Sutra (abbr. The Dharma Flower Sutra) and other Mahayana scriptures in different languages, praying for welfare of the people, well-being of the country, peace of the world, arrival of good luck, as well as ever-lasting happiness. Moreover, there will be some unique cultural activities, such as dialogue on spirituality, sitting meditation, cross-culture exchanges, Mongshan service for hungry ghost salvation, temple life experience, and so on.

2. Venue: Beijing Longquan Monastery (No. 27, Longquan Rd., Haidian District, Beijing)

3. Terms and Conditions of Enrolment:

a) Scope of Enrolment: foreign language enthusiasts

b) The participants should be sound in body and mind, without acute or infectious disease.

c) Participants prepared to attend all the activities are preferred.

d) Applicants should fill in the registration form, and email it to DharmaAssembly@gmail.com, or print and present the form to the contact person.

4. Time for enrolment:

Please begin to register at the Reception of Longquan Monastery on Dec. 31.

Please bring your certificates with you (ID card, passport, or refuge-taking certificate).

5. Matters needing attention

a) Free accommodation in the monastery;

b) Please keep to the regulations in the monastery;

c) Please bring with you the basic toiletries for daily use (there are basins in the monastery).

d) Please bring thick clothes with you as the temperature is 3-4 degrees lower than that in the city and it is subject to sharp drop of temperature in the morning and evening.
