How do I go about importing a CSV file from PUC to PlecoDict on an iTouch?

@蓝大卫,

You're not the only one who's requested this and it has been on our TODO list for a while. Have just implemented something that should work, although the interface is not particularly pretty (we can work on that once the functionality is fine). Let me know if you have any trouble with this though:

(1) To export vocabulary for Plecodict, go to the "vocab" page for any lesson and click "Add to Vocab". This will export the materials to your private vocabulary list and automatically label the words with the lesson title.

(2) Select the words you wish to export (by default whatever has shown up on the page) and click on Export. Select your format from the short list provided.

The pleco file should export in a text format that can be opened by PlecoDict directly, without the need for any intermediary file conversions. Question: is it worth it having an "export" button directly on the lesson vocab page, so that people don't need to add the words to their private wordlists?

I got the pleco format file onto my iTouch, now to get it to load into the database. :-)

I was not able to import the file with the extension .pleco, but after consulting with Michael Love, he said to rename the extension to .txt. I did, transfered it to my iTouch and then imported it into the flashcard database.

Now I can review PUC words on the go!!!

Thanks for the report Dave. We've just updated our export scripts so they'll produce .txt instead of .pleco files.
