Would you like to start an auspicious spiritual journey to experience Buddhist culture just at the beginning of the year 2012? From December 31st, 2011 to January 2nd , 2012, a Dharma Flower Sutra dharma assembly will be held at Beijing Longquan Monastery which is situated at the foot of the Phoenix Ridge (Fenghuangling) in Haidian District. Meanwhile, multi-lingual venues will be set up for all foreign language enthusiasts to chant the king of sutras—The Wonderful Dharma Lotus Flower Sutra (abbr. The Dharma Flower Sutra) and other Mahayana scriptures in different languages, praying for welfare of the people, well-being of the country, peace of the world, arrival of good luck, as well as ever-lasting happiness. Moreover, there will be some unique cultural activities, such as dialogue on spirituality, sitting meditation, cross-culture exchanges, Mongshan service for hungry ghost salvation, temple life experience, and so on.
