The writing app you have on the website is awesome, but I have a simple suggestion to further improve it: Allow users to input any character they want and also report the number of mistakes

@chinopinyin,

Thanks. We've got someone working full-time to help us add additional characters and will be taking these steps when we have a large enough backend corpus to justify opening it up as a more general study tool (as with the flashcards, etc.).

When we're dealing with random lists of characters, we can presumably hack in a couple of different study modes too. I actually think the usability of the iPhone app is a bit better interface-wise, since there is no need to wait for things to fade in and out before one can get started.

Best,

Hi,

I have found the application really wonderfull.

However, I would like to make a little suggestion:

could it be possible to provide the meaning of the character as well which appears on the writing pad?

I hope that if the user practising the characters in this way also gets to know the meaning of the character he/she just practised, it will a vwery helpful espacially for the beginners.

Thanks!
