Brendan isn't much of a publicity hound, but we thought you all might like to know he got a recent mention in this New York Times article about blogging and new media in China. Way to go NYT. The article also mentions our good friends John Pasden of Sinosplice as well as Kaiser Kuo, who you may remember from this KTV Wednesday feature.
In semi-random other news: our Popup Chinese dictionary has just surpassed 200,000 entries, with hundreds of new entries being added each week. If you haven't installed our Firefox plugin yet be sure to download and try it out. And be sure to install it as a logged-in user to get the click-to-edit and highlight-to-add functionality.

Welcome to Popup Chinese. Once you have the plugin installed, use the right-click or Tools menu to enable it. Then just hover your mouse over any Chinese word for a popup explaining the Chinese on the page. If you have problems please write us at service@popupchinese.com and we'll help you sort things out.
More advanced controls: once a popup is visible on the page, you can click your mouse to enter edit-mode. The popup will freeze and you can then click-to-edit any of the definitions - they will be saved in your local dictionary. Likewise, if the popup is active you can add missing words by just highlighting them: a popup will appear prompting you for a translation.
Extra Tip: once the popup has been enabled for the first time, it can be toggled on and off by holding down the Control key and pressing Shift and A.
