Hello community, I am wondering what are some common topics young Chinese adults talk about in china? So much is going on in Hong Kong with the protests, more so, the awareness of the LGBT community is becoming pretty popular (from what I've been reading) do people in China speak about such events going on? What are some of your opinions on these matters?

No-one I know talks about LGBT stuff. What I hear about is the ridiculousness of parents and how disconnected they are from reality, work opportunities and issues, and then Western and Korean television shows. Also the standard set of complaints about housing and government and - increasingly - pollution.

No-one seems to discuss books or philosophy or family.
