我常常聽echo說 something like "biu shuo" 或 "別說" whenever she gives an example or usage of a given phrase or word. what is it exactly that she says?
neehnahw, it's 比如说 (bǐrú shuō).... Because the third tone on 比 blends into the second tone on 如 it can sound a bit like a single third tone word.

she is saying: "比方说" which is basically defined as "for example" but the NCIKU online dictionary defines it as "lets us say" or "suppose...".
