You have the translation as "affection". Is that correct? Should it not be: (verb) "affect" e.g. 一场大风严重影响了庄稼的长势 and (noun) "influence" e.g.有些书会使青少年受到不良影响 ?(from www.nciku.com)

Just came across "极" defined as "badly". Your dictionary gives the translation as "extremely"....(HSK 3 Flashcards)
