Hi everyone!

My uncle's employers are looking to do business in China and he asked me what an average middle class income is here. He also asked how much does a typical call-centre worker earn. Does anyone have a clue?

I know it's a big question and it varies from region to region, but if anyone could shed a little bit of light, that woukd be tremendously helpful!

Thank you!

@华金,

I'm not sure who are the middle class in China... For a white collar with 4-5 years working experience in Beijing, I would say maybe 8000 RMB per month after tax and insurance. In terms of call-center, I remember in 2008, the salary starts from 3000 RMB. I guess it would be 4000 - 5000 now.

I'm not 100% sure though. Anyone else?

Thank you Echo! I know, the middle class is probably not one spcific group in China so it's hard to say what the average middle class income is, but that's what I was asked to find out! Thank you anyway! By the way, I was in Beijing recently and finally had the the chance to eat some 地道北京烧鸭! Wow, it was so good! I've eaten in before in 贵州, and I really liked it, but it's nothing like the real thing!
