Those who say justice is blind never met Samuel Trappers, famed throughout the fourteenth circuit for his unorthodox approach to law and personal hygiene. More than one counsel had met her match arguing the finer points of law before his court, and many were those to arrive with meticulously prepared briefs only to have their entire cases thrown out in a fit of pique over slight failings in ceremonial attire.

Looking for a good way to learn Chinese? At our elementary level, our lessons start to creep up in length, but they still feature high-frequency vocabulary and avoid complex grammar structures. So they're exactly the sort of lessons you need if you're still trying to internalize the basics of the language. So if you're an elementary student listen in and let us know what you think. You can reach us by email anytime at service@popupchinese.com.

Hi guys. Loved the podcast. Are there any more with legal or police vocabulary in them? I'm watching a Taiwanese police drama at the moment, so I thought it might help. :)

Thanks

I was curious what state Hakensaw County was in so I looked it up. Turns out it doesn't exist; all the top search results point back to Popup Chinese.

Guess that's one way not to offend your users :-D

Okay, this is going to sound really dumb, but just to make sure a joke isn't going over my head, is the transcript supposed to have only 2 people (only 甲 and 乙)?

If it's a transcript typo and this is 3 people, why does the last line, which is the same voice as the judge, address the judge and then apologize? Is the last line supposed to be spoken by 甲? Is this an exorcist scenario with 3 voices spouting from one solitary 好男人?

Prosecution - "Hey, when did you hear this?"

Attorney - "Objection, hearsay."

Judge - "Overruled"

Attorney - "Whatt, it's hearsay!"

??? - "That's right your Honor. I apologize to the court."
