And as the implications of his actions sank in, the boy wizard plunged into a paroxysm of self-doubt. Harry may not have started the fight, but he had ended it decisively. Seconds earlier, the burst of flame from his wand had exploded mid-air, incinerating the cult leader where he stood while throwing the rest of his followers back against the wall with bone-crushing force. "What have I become," Harry wept as his gaze swept over the carnage, the full weight of death at last upon the boy.

It was then that Dumbledore emerged from the shadows. "It is true that blood will have blood," the old man sighed, "and we must be vigilant lest we become too much like those whose forces we oppose." The professor paused to let his words sink in. He placed a comforting hand on Harry's shoulder as if to say that this too will pass. "But splittists are an insidious threat to the sanctity of a harmonious state and it was fitting for you to treat them harshly."

Can't remember who it was who requested more Harry Potter lessons. We tried getting this concept recorded a couple of times with a few different voice actors, but it didn't click until this final session. I think Patrick does a great job as the harried publisher.

谢谢你, Echo (回声 ????is it???)

@mijwada,

Echo,

Do whatever the hell you want.

@chaokendrick,

Hi! In this dialogue you have the two different words for "writer", but I think there's a mistake in the tones in the transcript for the first one which you write as zuo2zhe3. Shouldn't it be zuo4zhe3? I love your long dialogues because naturally it gives more to study and learn and this one is great! However, as one on the lower end of intermediate level, even though I do have the transcripts, I find it much more useful when you do go through it line by line because you always end up explaining vocab and phrases a bit more. I know it makes the lesson longer when there is such a long dialogue, and you have your time limits--but it would be nice!

@susanjallen,

You're absolutely right Susan, and thanks for the note. I'll look into what happened on this end. On the line-by-line front... we drop the line-by-line for some of longer intermediate podcasts but there isn't really a set format. Will pass your thoughts along to Brendan and Echo.

Best,
