We've been trying to keep our feature film project under wraps and don't want to do the whole Kickstarter thing, but if anyone knows the Spielberg brothers tell them to answer our emails, because we only need a bit of cash to start shooting at this point and the story basically sells itself. I mean... if someone else made this movie, we would probably see it a couple of times in the theater at least. Multiply that by the number of people in China and you'll have a sense of what this can mean.

The concept? We're working from an original script, but imagine something like Inception except on Mars and with a spy angle as well. And we don't even need to cast: we've already got provisional commitments from Kate Bekinsale, Anne Hathaway and David Tennant. Granted, not everyone has signed on paper yet, but as soon as they see our concept art it'll be impossible to pry the pens from their fingers. And since everyone will be speaking Chinese, Steven will finally have a shot at that Best Foreign Language Oscar.

I guess it's egg on my face for confusing the name of the main villain with the capital of Denmark. Or maybe it was our voice actors who flubbed this one. Either way, it looks like this dialogue has more of a European twist than expected.

“你老婆其实是个男人,而且他为我工作“ 是非常好的句子。 It would fit well in 泰囧. However, I do think "你老婆其实是个太监,而且他为我工作“ would be an even more awesome sentence and more in line with Popup Chinese's commendable focus on teaching us the words "太监,海盗,吸血鬼,and 僵尸" before basic vocabulary :) Now that I think about it, the possibilities are endless...

This remake was appalling! Fortunately your podcast didn't turn out the same! Great work as always.

@Trevelyan,

You know, I was waiting with baited breath for the Arnold Schwartznegger voice, but...I'm not sure who was doing the Arnold voice. Maybe it's just the Gao stole the show....AGAIN.

BTW: Now after hearing this podcast, I always picture a thick Fu Manchu goatee sporting Brendan laughing the nefarious eunuck laugh...while swathing his face with a thick layer of powdery white make-up.

Thanks a lot guys...

Oh Brendan, the Man in the High Castle pilot was pretty cool and it looks like we're going to have a Blade Runner Sequel/Prequel, but I agree with you, they are ravaging Phil K Dick's estate.
