Although the questions on our sample HSK test for today are technically called reading passages, they actually require reading only a single sentence. Your challenge is to understand this sentence well enough to pick the answer the meaning of which corresponds to the meaning of the HSK question. These are among the easier questions at this level of the new HSK test, since there are only two answers for each question rather than the usual four. But answer quickly since in a real test situation, you will have less than one minute to answer each question. Good luck!

There seems to be some vocab/chars here that aren't in the hsk lvl2 (or lvl1) vocab list, eg 爬 . Is there a reason for this? Just seems a bit confusing. Then again, hsk lvl2 has pinyin.

The following chars/words from the pdf aren't part of the vocab list either it seems: 级 , 蛋糕 , 复, 铁 . This is quite confusing when studying to find knowledge gaps that technically shouldn't be a gap!

Checked against the level 1 & list data at:

first time using this site after taking a 6-test book of HSK level 2. The listening for HSK 2 is MUCH faster here compared to the book. Don't know which is comparable to the actual test.
