Hello,

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but does anyone have experience with the input system used for the online HSK tests?

I'm planning to do HSK 4 next month, but heard rumours that pinyin IMEs are not allowed, but couldn't find any official confirmation either way.

I currently use Microsoft's own "Pinyin New Experience Input Style", but I'm a bit worried in case you need to use the one many of my Chinese colleagues use (typing ggg = 王）.

I'd also be interested to know. I'm taking the same test on the 10th next month and am worried about what the input method will be. I've seen some pretty horrible ones compared to Sougou/Google Pinyin/MS Experience.

I am also taking the test on the 10th next month, and am interested in confirmation about input types. From this website: http://www.express-chinese.com/English/DownList.asp it seems that HSK 1-3 will have Pinyin and character input, while HSK 4-6 will only have character input. I just want to know what this "character input" is. Is it a digital pen?

Did the test on the 10th, it looks like all the machines have the standard MS Experience and Sogou pinyin inputs installed. The one I used also had CangJie and ZhengMa inputs.
